James A. Artley

James A. Artley began practicing law approximately 37 years ago with J. Kerwin Hollowwa and during that time he has practiced extensively in the areas of consumer and commercial collections, creditors rights in bankruptcy and construction related collection activities. Jim’s representative clients include Wagner Equipment Co., Sound & Signal, Inc., US Eagle Federal Credit Union, Nusenda Credit Union, Del Norte Credit Union, Enterprise Bank & Trust (formerly Los Alamos National Bank). Jim attended Michigan State University and graduated in 1978 and attended the University of Detroit Law school graduating in 1981. Jim was admitted to the New Mexico Bar in 1982 and in the United States District Court for the District of New Mexico and United States Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit in 1983.

J. Kerwin Hollowwa

Kerwin Hollowwa graduated from the University of New Mexico School of law in 1977 and has practiced law full time in Albuquerque in the areas of commercial law, real estate, banking, collections, contracts and corporate law.

Mr. Hollowwa has represented numerous lenders and borrowers in loan transactions and has assisted buyers and sellers in various types of transactions.

Mr. Hollowwa has received the Martindale-Hubble Preeminent AV peer rating continuously since 1998.

Mr. Hollowwa’s non- professional interests include hiking, fly fishing and classic and specialty automobiles.

SEAN HOLLOWWA

Sean Hollowwa is our newest member of the firm and focuses his practice in the areas of real property and contract law.  He represents clients at the individual level, as well as at the local business level.

While attending law school, Sean was an editor on the Regent University Law Review and participated in Regent Law’s moot court contests.  His law review note, “Betamax, the iPhone, and Beyond: Privacy, Secondary Liability, and the Regulation of the 3-D Printed Gun Industry” was published in volume 32 of the Regent University Law Review in 2019. He also served as an extern to the Honorable David W. Lannetti in the 4th Judicial Circuit of Virginia, in the city of Norfolk.  During his time as an extern, Sean had the opportunity to observe multiple, complex criminal and civil cases, as well as assist in legal research and preparation of judicial opinions.   

Prior to attending law school, Sean served as a F-18E/F Super Hornet pilot in the U.S. Navy.  Sean deployed aboard the USS HARRY S. TRUMAN in support of OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM, providing coalition forces with close air support.  Sean continues to presently serve as a reserve officer in the U.S. Navy Reserve. 

Sean is a native of Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he attended Albuquerque Academy.  He resides in Albuquerque with his wife and four children.
